Colored Jeans are Here to Stay

Long gone are the days of plain, regular blue jeans. In today’s fashion world, the sky’s the limit when it comes to different colors for jeans. They are very modern and casual, but you can also dress them up for a night out. Whether it’s red, green, yellow, pink, salmon, purple, etc, there is no right or wrong color to wear. There are now even different shades of colored jeans as well. I’ve seen the original dark wash, but have also noticed pastel and neon colors as well. You can make this an everyday look, and be comfortable yet fashionable at the same time.

Although at first it may seem more difficult to match something with colored jeans, it really isn’t all that bad trying to find something. If you decide to wear lighter jeans or pastel colors, there’s nothing wrong with pairing it with a lighter shirt or one that is along the same color. However, personally, if I wear lighter jeans I like to wear a darker shirt to balance it out. The same rule can apply for neon or darker colored jeans; there really is no right or wrong way to wear these jeans.

If you are going for a more casual look, pair the jeans with a tee shirt, vee-neck, tunic, sweater, or anything along those lines, and top it off with sneakers or sandals.

If you are planning on wearing these jeans as a night look or want to jazz them up a bit, try matching them with a dress shirt or blouse, and maybe even wear a jacket on top to dress the whole outfit up a bit. In this case, wearing heels, flats, or even wedges or platforms would work best and add a bit more jewelry and flair. Don’t dress it up too much though, the jeans stand out for themselves!

Regardless of whether you are going for a more causal or dressier look, don’t ever be afraid to wear a printed or patterned top! Combining these two trends is sure to make you feel and look good, and have fun while doing it. There are even colored jeans for men too; this fad is everywhere and growing. Experiment, don’t be afraid to take fashion risks, you won’t be disappointed, just make sure you choose a color you actually like and won’t be afraid to wear more than once.

I think everyone should have at least one pair of colored jeans in their closet, there’s no harm in trying something new.
