Designer Spotlight: Lela Rose

Lela Rose is a versatile designer, who designs sophisticated and elegant clothing, footwear, and wedding dresses. Her designs show her love for couture fabric and immense detail.

Lela’s 2012 collection includes something different from the usual lady-like dresses. She was inspired by the Neon Museum, otherwise known as the Neon Graveyard. She experimented with different colors and patterns. The collection involves a lot of floral patterns and yellows and oranges. She has also paired up with Payless, and designed many bright wedges. This flamboyant collection fully supports the neon trend this Summer.

Lela was raised in Texas and went to school in Colorado where she was surrounded by nature and beautiful landscapes. The beautiful colors that nature offered her are said to be the inspiration to her gorgeous collections. She graduated from Parson’s School of Design in 1993. The foundation of her collections is the finished in the fabrics. Her collections are sold in more than 75 stores nationwide, and many other stores internationally.

In Fall 2006 Lela Rose launched the wedding collection. The collection pairs the fabrics and technique, which show the trademark of this designer. The sequences and patterns on these dresses are extremely elegant, and they show impeccable detail. After the wedding collection she announced that she was launching the bridesmaid collection.

After the brilliant success of these collections she expanded into footwear in the Fall of 2007. She began a partnership with Payless, and made the shoes extremely affordable.

This renowned designer is extremely bold and talented. Her clothes are stylish, fancy, and sophisticated, and she is an inspiration to many new designers.
