Inspired By…One Direction (Part 4)
One Direction are just one of several boy bands that seem to be taking over the charts and maybe winning your heart? The English/Irish boy band came together on the UK X-Factor, coming in third in 2010. Since then, they’ve taken the world by storm, selling out tours in minutes, topping the charts constantly, and making tween girls hearts break.
The band consists of five boys: Louis Tomlinson (the funny one), Harry Styles (the charming one), Liam Payne (the sensible one), Zayn Malik (the mysterious one), and Niall Horan (the Irish one).
This week’s Inspired By… will focus on Zayn Malik. Zayn is 19 and was born in Bradford, West Yorkshire, England to a Pakistani father and English mother. He grew up in East Bowling and ended up switching schools at some point due to not fitting in because of his mixed heritage. Zayn is Muslim and also is addicted to smoking cigarettes, but has expressed a desire to stop. He is currently dating Little Mix’s Perrie Edwards.
When you’re trying to dress like Zayn, make sure you look absolutely perfect! The boy is obsessed with his looks.
This first look is of Zayn on the red carpet. He’s dressed in a suit, which is perfect for a menswear inspired dinner outfit. Go with a white collared blouse, some black slacks, a black blazer, and a pair of white and black flats. Add some colorful earrings for the perfect splash of color.
In this second look, Zayn’s wearing a letterman jacket, which has become a sort of signature piece for him. To make this look your own, choose a blue letterman jacket, black shorts, a white top, and red converse. Choose some fun earrings to go with it.
This final look shows off Zayn’s love for denim jackets. Taking a spin on the denim jacket look, go with a denim vest, and wear a bandeau underneath. Add some black pants, spiky jewelry, and black platform boots for a rocker night look.
Zayn’s fashion choices are a bit bolder than the other guy’s, which translate perfectly into fun outfits!
