Stay Minty Fresh
In case you live under a rock, mint is one of the most popular colors out right now! Nothing to spice up your look like a kick of minty fresh color… And this minty shade of blue actually looks fresh in all of its shades, no matter what article of clothing or accessory that it’s on! Let’s take a look at all the fun and fashionable ways that you can wear this minty trend.
My first and favorite way: skinny jeans! Colored jeans are all the rage right now, and you can score a great pair of skinny jeans in a lighter or darker mint shade from an array of retailers right now. I actually just saw a pair of mint colored skinny jeans at American Eagle for only $44.99. AE hasn’t always maintained the best reputation for the fit of their jeans in my opinion, but they have recently revamped their jean styles quite well! The new skinny jean is actually a great fit for a lot of body shapes- not too baggy, but just the right amount of stretch to adjust to all different curves. A great buy, if you ask me! If you shop around I can promise you will find a lot of other brands selling mint colored skinny jeans right now. They will look awesome rolled up at the bottom with sandals, flats, wedges, or even heels. Just remember that since you are doing such a bright color on the bottom, keep your choice of top a toned down neutral.
If you’re not into colored jeans, then by all means stick to your comfortable leg wear- whether it is blue jeans, a black skirt, or white shorts- and add a mint colored top! My favorite kind of mint colored tops are sheer tops that either button up, tie at the bottom, or have a little bit of ruffled accents. Minty is girly, so let your feminine side come out to play.
Finally, mint accessories are HUGE right now… Throw a bit of mint into your shoes, your purse, a skinny belt, or your jewelry to freshen up your look and really be the main attraction! Also, mint nail polish is so fun and cute to keep a hint of mint in your look every day. Mint colored bangles and bracelet/watch combinations are my favorite way to accessorize this shade right now.
