Designer Spotlight: Spool no.72

Spool no. 72 is an online clothing store that I discovered about two years ago.  I really fell in love with the unique vintage appeal to all of the clothing on this site.  I think this site definitely needs to be discovered by more people!

I had been shopping this site for a while before I actually discovered their story of how the site came about, which I thought was pretty interesting.  The store basically began as a small stand at a farmers market where people would come to purchase the unique, vintage, handmade designs.

(Charming Lace Dress; Sale $38)

As the following grew the online store was opened.  The clothing brand has remained family owned and operated and is actually headquartered out of Washington state.  I think this unique story of how the store came about just adds even more appeal for me.

All of the clothing on this site has some added detail that separates it from other popular stores.  For example, I really love the lace shorts that have become popular this season but many of them just have a plain elastic waistband that I just don’t like.  Spool added lace shorts to their summer collection but put a sort of lacey crochet fabric over the waistband to hide it and add more appeal to the shorts.

(Arrows Fall Dress; $54)

The unique details of all the clothing and accessory pieces mixed with Spool no. 72’s unique story and family feel all come together to add to the appeal of this store for me.  I have always really enjoyed the clothing available on this site and I think more people should discover it as well!
