Travel Around With Longchamp
The Longchamp brand was created in 1948 by Jean Cassegrain. The French luxury brand is known for their original handbag creations. The designs are sleek, simple, and have strong lines. These bags are not only gorgeous pieces, but they are extremely utilitarian.
I purchased my first Longchamp bag this past winter with the purpose of using it for commuting to and from campus. The bag I bought was the Le Pliage in the largest size. It’s not only extremely handy when I have a lot to carry, but it’s also very stylish; not a day goes by that I don’t use it. The high quality fabric and construction has helped this handbag withstand school books, a laptop, and I even use it as a purse for my everyday routine. It’s a large bag, but the sleek design makes is extremely sensible for any situation.
The Le Pliage design was created in 1993 with the purpose of foldable travel bags. These vinyl totes are trimmed with leather. They have increased popularity in the United States, especially around college campuses.
Longchamp has branched out into collaborations and Kate Moss recently designed a line for the brand. The evolution of Longchamp will continue, while still creating luxury goods with a practical purpose.
