Burberry: Men’s Fashions
156 years old. Now, that would be quite elderly if I wasn’t talking about the British brand, Burberry. Even with evolution of the brand, you can always tell a Burberry item or advertisement apart from any other. The ever present famous plaid design and perfectly tailored trench coats, it’s the fashion definition of Burberry.
Emma Watson, a fellow Brit, was featured in the Spring and Summer 2010 campaign. Her younger brother was also included in these advertisements. The photographs really enticed me with what Burberry truly has to offer. Classic and timeless pieces.
Saturday, June 23, 2012 marked the day of the Burberry Prorsum Menswear Spring/Summer 2013 show during Men’s Fashion Week in Milan. Each look was tweeted by Burberry along with the hash tag of “#Tweetwalk.” (Very social media forward!)
The models, not only were handsome young men, but they were dressed in apparel so dapper and unique. Vibrant metallic, bomber jackets, tailored suits, light-weight outerwear, and printed shirts. Sleek and sophisticated with a fun edge. These designs were flawless. This exquisite collection is possible because of Burberry’s creative director, Christopher Bailey. He is truly a fashion genius in my mind.
You can watch the runway video HERE (trust me, it’s worth it).
