The Fourth is Here!
The Fourth of July is once again upon us. One of the biggest questions you ask yourself is, what am I going to do; however, another question that goes hand in hand with that is, what am I going to wear?! First and foremost, you have to decide what your plans are, once you plan out the event, you can dress yourself accordingly. The Fourth of July offers countless activities to do, whether it’s fireworks, BBQ’s, parties, concerts, going into the city, etc. Take advantage of every opportunity, this day always proves to be memorable and fun!
Fashion, in general, and choosing an outfit is never easy, a lot of thought and effort is usually put into it, especially when you are going out and you know people are going to see you. As I said before, step one: decide what you are going to do! If you are planning on doing multiple events or activities that day, be sure that you chose something that will be comfortable yet stylish for all that you will be doing; it must work for all the events, you don’t want to be changing outfits all day, it’s a pain and unnecessary! If you decide to go to a BBQ on the Fourth, a maxi dress would work great! You could also wear shorts and a top, and a short, flirty summery dress as well. Pair it with sandals or platforms and you’re set! It’s chic and casual at the same time, perfect for a laid-back setting like a BBQ. Even if you decide to go see fireworks, these outfit choices would be appropriate.
However, if you decide to go into the city, go to a party, concert, or anything along those lines, it’s best to put comfort first. That doesn’t mean that you can’t look Fashionable or cute at all, it’s just important that you remember that you will most likely be standing or walking around quite a bit, so you don’t want to be uncomfortable or so focused on your outfit that you don’t have fun! In these situations, it usually is better to wear jeans or shorts with a top, whether it is casual or fancy. A bra top, half shirt, tee shirt or V-neck, or dress shirt would all work. You could even wear a short dress in some of these situations, although if you were going to a concert I would not suggest choosing that at all. Sandals or sneakers prove to be the most comfortable, and will make getting around much easier. You never know what the day will bring; you could end up running places, walking long distances, climbing stairs, dancing, etc, so it’s always better to be prepared! Some people even spice up their clothing with red, white, and blue to show their patriotic side, which I always love to see.
The Fourth of July is one of the holidays where you can just have fun and dress as crazy as you want, so embrace it. I hope you all have an amazing and safe Fourth!
