Eco-Spotlight: Vaute Couture
Celebrities such as Alicia Silverstone, Ginnifer Godwin, and Emily Deschanel are sporting a line of coats from Vaute Couture, causing it to successfully achieve a celeb approved status. As of now, the brand focuses on coats, tees and accessories for men and women. I really love the coats from this collection. They are colorful, structured, and fashionable at the same time!
One thing I really love about the website, www.vautecouture.com, is that next to each item it lists what makes each product eco-friendly. Whether it be the fabric, the fact that the garment is vegan, or locally constructed in their NYC headquarters, the site lists all information regarding the product.
Their tee’s and several dresses are all mainly organic cotton and all feature whimsical patterns. Many of the shirts feature animal prints or sayings which ties into the theme of the company and what they stand for. The environment and the care of animals is their number one priority.
Vaute Couture is a brand that is sure to see continued success far into the future. This conscientious brand has even won several awards such as one of the Best Emerging Green Designers Award. Their love of animals and the environment really shows through their work.
